Reader’s Theater offers a fun and engaging way for students to improve reading fluency and comprehension. It combines reading and performing to boost students’ skill and confidence. Students ‘perform’ by reading scripts and presenting in front of their classmates. Scripts are not memorized. In addition to practicing fluency when reading aloud, we’ll work on expressions, gestures, volume, and body language. No homework, but a willingness to step out and try is essential.

Hi! I’m Stephanie DeYong. My family and I are in our fourteenth year of homeschooling and our ninth year at Brazos Valley Co-op. We’ve graduated one and have three students still at home. I hold a BBA in Accounting from Oklahoma Baptist University. We are so thankful for the freedom and privilege to educate at home!
