Class Description:
This class will be a fun, safe opportunity to develop and exercise the skill of public speaking. Because practice, repetition, and opportunity build on themselves, students will stand up to speak before the class (and maybe a new audience here and there) 2-3 times each week. Homework time will vary — sometimes there will be no homework, but sometimes students will need to spend time outside of class preparing a speech. (A schedule will be provided.)

By adopting a gentle, easy-going approach to the often-feared art of public speaking, students will learn simple techniques and strategies, equipping them with tools that will not only better the quality of the speech but also bolster the confidence of the speaker.
