Class Description: Poetry is all around us and we have been encouraging our children to love learning and play through it from a very early age! You are never too young or old to enjoy a good poem. Every Petite Poets class will include activities, writing projects for all skill levels, and sometimes snacks that complement the poetry being studied. This class will enhance reading, writing, and listening skills in a fun and interactive environment. We will read a variety of poems to help expand vocabulary while learning rhyming and rhythm in language. Students will learn about different types of poems and literary devices through age appropriate, engaging, and sometimes hilarious poems that will allow their imaginations soar and encourage their natural creativity. Your child does not need to read to be part of this class- all skill levels are welcome!
