Class Description:
I once had a coach in high school tell me (when he found out I was a Latin student) that the most beneficial classes he ever took were keyboarding and Latin. I wholeheartedly agree! Not only great for vocabulary, Latin studies can help a student grab a hold of English grammar and think systematically.

Full and successful completion of our Latin I course (including homework) can count as a full-year of high school foreign language credit on your homeschool transcript.

Latin I will use Memoria Press’s First Form Latin to teach the grammar of the Latin language, establishing a solid foundation for further Latin study.

Using this grammar-based program, our focus will be on basic understanding and retention of Latin charts, forms, vocabulary, and grammar so we can move smoothly into confident translations.

The scope of Latin I includes: the six indicative active tenses of the first two verb conjugations, five noun declensions, first and second declension adjectives, and 185 vocabulary words.
