I will incorporate lap books, crafts, snacks, songs and games into our classes to help students to stay engaged and interested in the subject.

We will cover Abe Lincoln, Native Americans, The Old West, George Washington, Texas History, the Oregon trail and much more throughout our year. We’ll cover each topic for 2-4 weeks before moving on.

While talking about the state of Texas we will make a salt map to show the diversity of our great state, sample classic Texas food, learn about Texas symbols, read books about Texas and learn songs about our state. We will also learn the Texas pledge, make a Texas lap book and other crafts and discuss important people who live or lived in Texas.
