Class Description:
In this upper level art class, students will be introduced to the world of art through the use of different techniques and mediums. No matter the level of experience, this course is designed to teach basic principles of art and art history though a very hands-on approach. Students will have the opportunity to experiment with a new artistic element (such as drawing, painting, clay sculpting, tin and foiling, and collage) in each lesson. This class will encourage students to explore their own creativity and ability by first exploring the foundation of artistic principles. By combining this knowledge with experimentation, your student will be given the opportunity to develop a true appreciation for art, as well as the confidence and pride that comes along with creating some really amazing pieces of art! There is no experience or previous art classes necessary.
