Class Description: Come learn to dance and glorify the Kingdom of God! This praise dance class is designed to teach students creative movement, locomotor skills and rhythms through the fun dance styles of ballet, jazz, and hip hop. The goal is to teach students how to worship God through dance while developing the student’s creativity and love of dance, along with the appropriate basic technique and body awareness skills. Each class will incorporate age appropriate devotionals and students will learn how to praise God through fun dance routines. All classes will use age appropriate Christian music. Students are encouraged to wear dance clothes or comfortable clothes they can move in and bring socks, ballet or jazz shoes, and tennis shoes. “Let us praise His name with dancing!” Psalm 149:3

About Natalie George

Natalie, a Waco native, is the owner and artistic director of Joy’s School of Dance and an adjunct dance professor at Baylor University. She began her dance career at age five and studied dance throughout high school and college under many professionals.
She has been teaching ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip hop to students of all ages for over 15 years and is the lead JSOD Dance Company instructor. Natalie has been a master dance teacher at conventions throughout the state and is a board member of the Texas Association of Teachers Dancing (TATD).
Natalie graduated from Baylor University in 2004 with a degree in Public Relations and Business Administration. She now teaches jazz and the capstone dance minor classes in the Baylor HHPR department and serves as a faculty advisor for the Baylor Dance Company.
Natalie has been married to her husband Clinton for 11 years and their son Christian is 4 years old. They are members of Harris Creek Baptist Church. It is her passion to teach children about praising God through dance.
