Class Description: In this P.E. course, students will learn and practice the fundamental elements of cheerleading. Proper technique for cheer motions, jumps, stunts, and dance basics will be covered. Students will feel more prepared for cheerleading, will learn cheerleading terminology, and will improve upon their current skill level. Students will learn cheer routines which will encompass all of these elements. Students will also leave with an understanding of ways they can practice at home to improve both strength and flexibility. The supply fee includes a t-shirt and cheer bow. Parents will be invited to a group performance. Previous gymnastics and/or dance experience is helpful, but is not required.

Brooke earned two degrees from Baylor University, including a Master of Science in Education. She has served as a professional career counselor, student services advisor, and administrator for two universities. She currently serves as a cheerleading coach at a private school. This is her third year to teach at BVC.
