About Michael Lacasse

Michael makes his living as a software engineer but loves music. He has played piano and percussion since childhood. While attending West Virginia University, attaining a degree in Computer Engineering, he enjoyed taking music theory and jazz improvisation classes in the music department. During college, he also competed on an indoor drumline and continued lessons in both piano and percussion. He plays regularly with a worship team at Fellowship Bible Church and enjoys helping his own kids at home as they learn guitar, saxophone, and drums. When it comes to using a computer to create and explore music, Michael considers himself an avid hobbyist. He is excited to share his passion for music and inspire confidence and creativity in his students.
