With more than 15 years of leadership experience in Christian higher education and the nonprofit world, Eric is passionate about helping students grow both academically and spiritually during their formative years.
His professional background includes senior leadership roles at Dallas Baptist University and Hardin-Simmons University, where he worked in leadership development, enrollment management, curriculum design, fundraising, accreditation, and denominational relations. He currently serves as Vice President for the Texas Baptist Missions Foundation and earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from DBU (2016).
Since 2017, he has taught graduate-level courses in Leadership, Research Methods, Higher Education, Leadership Communication, and College and University Administration. Teaching at the graduate level has deepened his commitment to academic excellence while strengthening his desire to invest in younger students as they prepare for college, career, and calling.
In a culture that often challenges faith and moral clarity, Eric believes students need more than information—they need formation. His goal is to help students think critically, communicate clearly, lead courageously, and confidently integrate their faith into every area of life. Eric is deeply committed to preparing young men and women to become servant-leaders who will honor Christ in whatever calling He places before them.
Eric and his wife, Carri, have been married for 15 years and homeschool their four children, who are students at Brazos Valley Co-Op. The Wyatt family is actively involved at First Woodway Baptist Church.
