Class Description

Logic is the science and art of reasoning well. This course follows the program outlined by Dorothy Sayers in “The Lost Tools of Learning” where students learn how to use language, how to define terms and make accurate statements, how to to construct an argument, and how to detect fallacies in argument. Taking this course with a large group is so much fun and greatly beneficial to the students because it gives them the opportunity to practice, discuss, debate, and really flesh out these concepts with each other.
