Class Description

“We live in the greatest country on earth, the United States of America. But what makes it so great? Why do some call the United States a miracle? How did we become a tremendous country in such a short period of time?“ Rush Limbaugh

Students will journey through these four historically accurate and humorous books. We will discuss and explore historical events and themes through lecture, research, games, reports, activities, and so much more. Students will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for this great nation we call America.

1. Rush Revere and the Brave Pilgrims: Travel along with the pilgrims on the Mayflower and experience the first Thanksgiving. Meet amazing people like Squanto and William Bradford.

2. Rush Revere and the First Patriots: Learn how our nation was formed and the beginning of our system of government. Meet the many supporters of liberty, like Samuel Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Paul Revere, and Patrick Henry.

3. Rush Revere and the American Revolution: Journey to the American Revolution and meet freedom’s heroes as they fight against British Rule. Also, observe the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

4. Rush Revere and the Star-Spangled Banner: Behold the secret meetings of those who penned the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Witness Dolly Madison sew the symbol of our liberty, the Star-Spangled Banner.
