Melodies and Masterpieces is a fun fine arts class for students in 4th–6th grade! In this class, students will explore both music and art by learning about famous composers and creating their own watercolor paintings.
Students will listen to beautiful pieces of music, learn about the composers who wrote them, and talk about how music can show feelings, stories, and movement. Then they will use watercolor to create artwork inspired by the music they hear.
Along the way, students will practice watercolor techniques, grow their creativity, and learn how music and art can work together to tell a story. By the end of the class, each student will have a special watercolor portfolio filled with artwork inspired by great music and composers.
