Westward Ho!
During the years of 1660-1800s Americans were continually moving west. What amazing adventures they had! Each week we will learn about different people and events that helped expand our country from the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
We will discuss reasons people wanted to move west, and how they did it. We will meet Lewis and Clark, mountain men, 49ers, Texans, explorers, pioneers, cowboys, and Native Americans. We will learn about the Oregon Trail, the Pony Express, the Transatlantic Railroad, and the Wild West.
Come join me for an exciting American adventure where we will pan for gold like the 49ers, play pioneer children’s games, sample pioneer recipes, create field journals like Lewis and Clark, and much much more!
