Students will learn how to mix graphic design, photography and journalism to create a monthly BVC newsletter. This class will be good for anyone wanting to explore the world of journalism, or expand their Canva and photography skills.
Each month we’ll look at new graphic design, journalism and photography skills as we create a monthly BVC newsletter. At the beginning of the month, students will be given a focused assignment for the upcoming month’s newsletter. The first semester will be spent learning each type of assignment. By the second semester, students will get to dive a little deeper into the parts they enjoy the most.
This class combines aspects of computer literacy, art and creative writing class.
Katelyn Kasper is a second generation homeschooler and was a part of BVC in the early years. She has a Masters of Business Administration and B.A. in Public Relations with a minor in Organizational Management. Her 4+ years of management, 11+ years of administration and 12+ years as a small business owner (photographer) have given her insight on how good project management and computer skills can support many tasks in life, not just with business.
Katelyn has enjoyed being a part of the BVC community again. She's been married 13 years and has two young children.
