When the world was plunged into war in 1914 it was assumed to be Armageddon, the final battle. It turned out to be just the first round. Just 22 years later the world would find itself mired in conflict yet again. But what caused the world to go to war with itself? Ultimately what led to the end of these World Wars? This class will take an in-depth dive into the causes, technologies, strategies, and consequences of the First and Second World Wars (and subsequent conflicts directly caused by them.) We will also learn stories of heroes who saved their fellow soldiers, showed compassion to their enemies, and changed the face of the world.
