Class Description
Beautiful Feet’s History of the Horse is a wonderful course that is sure to captivate your horse-loving student! Through various books and activities, we will trace the story of the horse as well as explore the integral role the horse has had in the human story.
“This literature approach to the history of the horse begins in the 1700s with the Godolphin Arabian and continues through the early 1900s. Students will learn about the famous Lipizzaner stallions, the wild American mustangs, the American-bred Morgan horse, the Chincoteague ponies, and other breeds. The study uses Marguerite Henry’s award-winning books and titles by Walter Farley and Anna Sewell. Learn horse anatomy, breed identification, basic horse sketching, charting blood lines and Bible memory verses regarding the horse.” (from publisher)
