Gmail Account with access to Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides and Forms. This is a free program.
Asana Account. There are free 30-day personal accounts.
Canva Account. There are free personal accounts.
Students will learn basic computer literacy programs in Google Suite (Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides and Forms) that are standard in classrooms and businesses, similar to the Microsoft Office options.
Because healthy organization and task management skills are necessary in many areas of life, students will learn how to develop these skills with email folders, file organization and Asana.
Students will also gain experience in basic graphic design skills with Canva, a well-respected graphic design platform.
Katelyn Kasper is a second generation homeschooler and was a part of BVC in the early years. She has a Masters of Business Administration and B.A. in Public Relations with a minor in Organizational Management. Her 4+ years of management, 11+ years of administration and 11+ years as a small business owner (photographer) have given her insight on how good project management and computer skills can support many tasks in life, not just with business.
Katelyn is a second generation homeschooler and has enjoyed being a part of the BVC community again. She's been married 12 years and has two young children.
