This is not your typical, boring economics and personal finance class! I will put the teen in the driver’s seat of his/her future from age 22 to 42 and let them design their life by making choices like career, car, apartment, spouse, house, investment, etc., all while creating 20 budgets to see how those choices will impact their financial picture.
Plot twists provide fun, but realistic, surprises of life. Maybe the student got a puppy and has that new expense. Maybe he got an unexpected raise. Maybe her car died, and she must purchase a replacement. These realistic experiences, along with marriage and children and those expenses, will help your student see the effects of all of these events in their financial future. This will be your student’s favorite class!
This curriculum covers all necessary components of economics (in the most fun ways!), and it will count as the economics/personal finance credit for high school.
