Class Description

There are so many career paths available, but there are some key business principles that are common with each of them. This class will:
1. Introduce students to a wide variety of occupations to narrow down the direction they want to pursue
2. Introduce core business principles

Guest speakers will join every month to give a glimpse of various career fields. Students will be able to ask questions and the guest speakers can tell us what class subjects are most helpful in preparing for that career choice (math, science, literature, etc.). From a macro perspective, students will gain an overall appreciation for the many types of jobs that are available and how they work together.

The students will also be using an augmented version of the Lemonade Day curriculum to learn the entrepreneurship skills needed to create a successful lemonade stand. Their final project will be to plan and run a lemonade stand.
