We will explore context and understanding of Psychology from a Christian perspective while engaging in conversation and group work. Because, Psychology is always on the news, and is a popular college-level course, it can be beneficial to take a introduction class in high school. This elective will help students to understand how naturalism, behavioralism, humanism, evolutionism, moral relativism and reductionism are used within psychological theories. Covering the history of psychology, as well as current theories on motivation, emotion, development, memory, sensation, abnormal psychology, social psychology, treatment. We will use the curriculum written by Tim Rice as a base for building our scope and sequence.
