In this class students will learn the basic principles in goal setting, project management and entrepreneurship. These goal setting and project management principles can be applied to anything from a research paper to saving for a car to running a company. Your students will learn the foundational aspects and apply them to creating a small business venture. The business can be a final project or something that is carried on after the class ends. While there will be homework, it culminates into segments of the overall final project. These benchmarks and the final project will be graded.
Please be aware, students will pick an entrepreneurship opportunity during this class as part of their final project. They will ask a small business for a small “loan” (under $100) for supplies that will be paid back with the earnings of their final project. This will also mean that there will be more outside of class time devoted to building their project in the last three months of class.
Students will need access to a computer or tablet to utilize the free project management software, Asana.
