Fun is the name of the game! If someone finds something enjoyable, (s)he is more likely to continue that activity for life. Physical fitness is so very important for quality of life. Exercise promotes heart health, digestive health, mental health, emotional health, friendships, etc. In this class, we will play and experience traditional games, such as football, soccer, volleyball, etc, as well as engage in fitness activities. We will also learn the components of fitness: muscular strength, muscular endurance, cardiovascular endurance and flexibility, and how to incorporate each of the components in their daily lives. Knowledge of these components will help the students continue with their fitness as they leave our care. My hope is that they will fall in love with fitness and health.
