Nature journaling is a great way to help us stop and open our eyes to the beauty and creativity of the world around us. Students will learn observation skills, researching skills, and strengthen their fine motor skills while creating their notebooks. We will use different mediums to document our nature findings—pencils, watercolors, flower pressing, and photography. We will learn how to incorporate quotes, poetry, and scripture into our journals. We will rotate between documenting nature articles I bring to class, ones students bring to class, and learn how to use books for nature journaling when going outside isn’t an option. At the end of the year, your students will have a notebook full of the wonders of creation pointing to the One who created them all! From time to time, we will also do a nature project to further enjoy our world.
