Gardening 101 will give students all the necessary information and hands on experience needed to start growing their own nutritious foods. We will discuss soil health, various growing medians, being good stewards of the land, growing zones, growing climates, determinate and indeterminate varieties. Student will plant from seeds, start a compost and see what a worm compost looks like. We will taste delicious farm fresh fruits vegetables and compare taste, texture, and looks to store bought fruits and vegetables.
