Class Description:
Come dance with me! The Tutu Princesses will twist and twirl their way through fantastic routines to famous Disney Princess songs! This class is designed to teach students creative movement, locomotor skills and rhythms through fun dance styles focusing mainly on classical ballet and movement. We will spend 2 – 3 weeks on each Disney Princess learning fun dance routines incorporating fun props and of course the imagination. Students will also get to make some props and crafts associated with those Disney princesses as well. The goal is to develop the student’s creativity and love of dance, along with the appropriate basic technique and body awareness skills. All classes will use age appropriate Disney, classical and Christian music. Students are encouraged to wear dance clothes or comfortable clothes they can move in and bring socks, ballet or jazz shoes, and tennis shoes. At the end of each semester we will have a short recital presentation for the parents at the end of our class time! “Let us praise His name with dancing!” Psalm 149:3
