Class Description:
Get ready to Take the Lead and be a pro on the dance floor at social events and weddings! Male and female students will learn partner style ballroom basics including the styles of Foxtrot, Waltz, Swing, Cha Cha, Tango, Country Western and famous line dances! Students will also learn about the importance of proper etiquette at social events. Group presentations on each dance style will be assigned to students as well to present during class. At the end of each semester, we will have a fun dance party incorporating the social dance skills learned. These are skills that students will use throughout a lifetime! Research has proven that social dance has multiple benefits including promoting fitness, strong bones, mental health, cultural diversity, social skills, new friendships, strong self-confidence, and a positive sense of well-being. Shall we dance?!
