Class Description:
With little learners in mind, this class seeks to foster a love for math while developing confidence with basic math concepts. Incorporating math manipulatives, games, and hands-on learning, students will gain practice and familiarity with general math concepts—from basic geometry to two-digit addition. Students will be placed in learning groups by ability level while rotating through 2-3 math centers each day. Math centers will include balances, base ten blocks, geometry pattern blocks, connecting cubes, dominoes, ten frames, play dough, hundreds charts, calendars, dice, card games, and other materials. This is designed to be a fun, low-pressure class for hands-on math fun to strengthen each student’s math skills!

About Brooke Sanders

Brooke earned two degrees from Baylor University, including a Master of Science in Education. While a Baylor student, she completed internships in art history, admissions, academic advising, and as a student teacher in elementary science. Since then, Brooke has served as a professional student services advisor and administrator for two universities. She now enjoys homeschooling, sharing her projects on Pinterest, and making learning come to life!
