Class Description:
LEGO Education is based on the conviction that children learn best when they experience things firsthand and within a meaningful context. Unlike simply memorizing abstract principles, experimenting hands on with concrete materials leads to deeper engagement and more memorable learning. We will cover topics in all subject categories including engineering, Bible, math, and social studies. They will be practicing the ultimate skills of collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving. Without even realizing they are learning, the students will use higher-order thinking by combining Lego model building with open-ended questions. They will use and develop their creative thinking and problem-solving skills by building models that illustrate their understanding of these curriculum-based topics. The children will strengthen communication skills by sharing with the class what they’ve created. Learning has never been so much fun!
