Class Description:
Every week students will be eager to learn about some of the greatest inventors in history! Using biographies and various activities, students will not only learn about well-known inventors such as Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Benjamin Franklin, but they will also learn about virtually unknown inventors whose ideas helped change our world. Students will learn about the patent process, inventions that were inspired by nature and about amazing things kids have invented! They will be inspired to invent new things themselves, and will be encouraged to innovate new ways of doing things to improve the lives of others.

Amy has three children and has been teaching them at home for 9 years. This is her 4th year of teaching at BVC. She earned her B.A. in Journalism from Texas A&M University, and she and her husband, Joaquin have lived in Waco for 15 years. She loves to encourage children to love learning!
