Join us on our CultureQuest!

Each class meeting will be divided into four distinct sections: artist study, composer study, poet study, and geography study. Your student will finish the course with a binder filled with four culturally-dense divisions in these categories and an all the more culturally-literate mind.

For our artist study, we will spend 9 weeks each with Van Eyck, da Vinci, and Whistler, learning about the artist and his work. For our composer study, we will spend the fall semester with Hadyn and the spring with Chopin. For our poet study, we will spend the fall with John Greenleaf Whittier and the spring with Oliver Wendell Holmes, committing to memory one complete poem for recitation each semester. And for our geography study we will travel through picture, story, map, and discussion to North America, Europe, and the Middle East.

The goal of this course is to hit those finer points that we often struggle to fit into our homeschool week but always long for. Come join us as we broaden our background knowledge and understanding of God’s beautiful world with those who have given us their unique pictures of it!
