Required Materials or Books:
Folder for handouts, drawing/sketch pad (at least 8.5″ by 11″),
Basic art supplies- drawing pencils (2H, HB, B, 2B, 4B), charcoal pencils, erasers (pink pearl or art gum), 1 set of oil pastels, 1 fine tipped and regular tipped Sharpie marker, 1 set of watercolors, 1 set of watercolor brushes. All of these supplies can be purchased at Hobby Lobby or Michaels and are reasonably priced, especially if you use coupons from their websites.
Materials do not need to be purchased prior to attending class but will be needed to complete class work. These supplies are for students personal use in class and at home.

Class Description:
This class will journey through the ages as we learn about the different periods of art as well as the influential artists that shaped what our world has become today. The goal of this class is to both learn about the history of art as well as create works in similar styles as the masters. From Ancient Art to Renaissance to Realism to Impressionism to Cubism to Installation Art, we will cover the major periods. This class will be a combination of interesting historical information as well as fun artistic application. “Come journey with us as we discover Art through the Ages!”

About Amanda Espinosa

Amanda Espinosa earned a BA in Studio Art from Baylor. She has instructed students from Pre-K through 5th grade in both public school and private school settings. She helped develop the art program and curriculum while teaching art at two Waco ISD elementary schools. She is currently teaching at a private school and homeschooling her oldest child. She greatly enjoys teaching Art to students of all ages and stages!
