Class Description:  This Physical Education class will go beyond calisthenics. My desire is for the students to develop a love for fitness and an awareness of the importance of being physically fit throughout their lives. In addition to units on different sports such as basketball, soccer and track and field, we will work on four components of fitness: cardiovascular conditioning, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance training. We will learn different athletic drills that improve agility and coordination. Finally, since fitness should be fun, we will take part in many new and exciting active games. We will also cover some basics in Health such as healthy eating, hygiene and knowledge of bones and muscles.
