Class Description:  In this class students will be reading award winning books in a variety of genres and learning about various literary elements as well as the historical time period of some of the books.  Students will be expected to read the assigned chapters outside of class and complete vocabulary and questions.  Students will also be expected to participate in class discussions.  Students will have various creative projects to complete with each book. The students will be reading a biography of their choosing and presenting their report to the class

Teacher Information:
 Candi Stryker has homeschooled her children for 11 years and has been involved in co-op during that time. She has a BS from UMHB and also completed coursework in elementary education at Baylor University. Before teaching her own children she taught in an elementary school for 8 years.
