Class Description: We will use the General Science curriculum from Apologia Educational Ministries. This course is designed to be a student’s first systematic introduction to the sciences. The course covers such topics as the scientific method, designing experiments, simple machines, archaeology, geology, paleontology, biology, and human anatomy and physiology. Its scope, therefore, is quite wide. There are many hands-on experiments to do, and they all use household items. Additional_Comments: The $35 supply fee includes all tests and most of the supplies for experiments. Because I have never taught this curriculum the supply fee is a guess as to how much experiments & classroom supplies will be. In the event that I underestimated, students may be asked to bring items throughout the year for experiments.
