Class Description:  Art II will build upon previous art experiences. This class will focus on drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, and hand built clay. Most projects will take 2-3 weeks to complete, which will allow more opportunity for developing the work. Students will develop age appropriate skills in composition, color theory and basic problem solving. Students will also be encouraged to participate in sharing about their art work, thus learning to express ideas from mind to paper and then to others as well.

Teacher Information:
I graduated college in 2003 with a B.A. in Studio Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design. I have been doing freelance graphic design for several years and have enjoyed working from home. Due to my love for children, passion for art, and several teaching experiences (including developing and teaching an art program for a private school ages K-6), I am looking forward to transitioning to art teaching. I have been training under Kate Head for the past year and currently teach a K-3 class from my home as well as private lessons.
