We will work to increase your knowledge of cameras and their settings, learn the values of good photos and how to evaluate photos to get the best pictures.  We will practice skills with photography assignments which will encourage creativity, problem solving and patience. Throughout the year students will keep a photo journal and work towards creating photos for photography competitions.  This class will require time spent outside of class doing assignments.

Teacher information: My name is Angie McCue. My husband, John and I have been homeschooling our 4 children for 8 years.  Our children have attended BVC for the past five years. My love and fascination with photography began at age 12 as I was taught by a professional photographer in my hometown.  Photography has been a passion ever since.  I have studied and practiced many different types of photography through the years including studying photography at Sam Houston State University.  I have come to believe very strongly that photography can be a very effective and rewarding tool which can be used to develop and nurture essential problem solving, communicative and creative skills needed in everyday life as well as in many different careers fields.
