• A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle
• Hoot by Carl Hiaasen
• The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin
• Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse
• Lizzie Bright and the Buckminster Boy
• Carry On, Mr. Bowditch

In this class students will be reading award winning books in a variety of genres and learning about various literary elements as well as the historical time period of some of the books. Students will be expected to read the assigned chapters outside of class and complete questions. Students will also be expected to participate in class discussions.  Students will also have various creative projects to complete with each book.
