$20.00 OR $150.00 payable in two semester payments of $75.00 Minimum Class Size: 5 Class Time: 3rd hour (10:40-11:35) Estimated homework: 1 hour per week
In this class we will start with understanding the 16 different personality types (using Myers-Brigg's Personality Type Indicator) and how they relate to study skills, relationships, and especially career choices. Not only will students get to take a personality test, but also they will learn how to guess other types (which can be quite fun). This skill can help students in job and college interviews. We will learn why people are successful and satisfied with their careers. We will build on this foundation with a study of the 6 "pillars" of making godly decisions. We will also learn secret to getting accepted to colleges (applications, transcripts, and how to prepare in high school) and to getting scholarships. This class is not exclusive for those who want to pursue a college degree, but anyone wanting guidance in making a career choice. We will have some assignments, such as practicing college application essays and researching possible careers, as well as a library of college and career books to check out.
