This Elementary Spanish course is designed to teach children in 3rd to 6th grade conversational Spanish with fast, enjoyable results! Step 2 is a continuation of Elementary Spanish Step 1 (2nd and 3rd grade). The course will focus on building vocabulary and combining words to form correct sentences, applicable to many different settings using a simplistic approach. We will build on the foundation established in Step 1 by adding to the Scriptures already memorized, the songs learned and the Biblical Truths already known. Through songs, practice exercises, games, literature and other creative approaches, your child will build and expand his knowledge of the Spanish language using a combination of varying curricula. Additionally, you will rejoice at the sound of your child reciting the Word of the Lord and singing Christian songs learned in Spanish.

Bring along your passports as we expand our travels on a South American excursion to explore its culture, cuisine, clothing, art, religion, music, and much more! Along the way we will use a "scrapbook" approach to learning, creating a portfolio to help children integrate lessons with activities. We'll end the year with a "fiesta" to celebrate all we have learned!

Maria White is the mother of three children. She has a bachelors degree in nursing from the University of Miami in Miami, FL. Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, she was raised in a Spanish-speaking home and reads, writes and speaks fluently.
