| Teacher: Teri Tippit Tuition: $120.00 per year, payable in monthly installments of $15.00 Supply/Materials Fee (due at registration): $15.00 Deposit (due at registration): $15.00 Grades: K-3rd Class Time: 3rd hour (10:40-11:35) This course is designed to give students broad exposure to the
three fundamental performing arts: music, theater, and dance. The
ultimate goal of this course is to build a greater appreciation of
the performing arts through study as well as participatory
experience. Throughout the year we will focus on each of the arts
individually as well as explore how they frequently overlap.
Students will sing, play instruments, act, and dance but no prior
training or aptitude is needed. Students will also gain a deeper
understanding of the performing arts through the study of history,
basic theory, and individuals who have made significant
contributions in each of these three areas. This class will be a fun
way for students to encounter the performing arts up close and
personal while gaining a greater appreciation for them. I am currently director of 1st-3rd grade choir at Harris Creek
Baptist Church. My hobbies and passions include singing and playing
the guitar. I have performed in numerous choral groups and ensembles
throughout high school, college, and beyond. My favorite performing
arts memory is playing the role of 'Laurie' in the musical Oklahoma. |
