Through
practice, they will develop a comprehension of the elements of art
and the principles of design including the use of movement and
rhythm, proportion, balance, unity, and variety. They will learn
basic drawing methods such as contour and gesture. Among other
drawing skills, they will learn shading techniques, one point
perspective and two point perspective. They will also get to
experiment with various drawing media. Mrs. Turner received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art with a minor in education at the University of Texas in 1991 and has taught a variety of studio art classes for fourteen years at the secondary level. Some of her artworks decorate homes throughout Texas and a few have even made it to homes in the Netherlands. |
