Jeannie Fulbright highlights just how important it is to have developed our communication skills.

(See the Jeannie Fulbright website for more details on Speak UP!)

In this course you child will have the opportunity to learn, practice, and build important communication and public speaking skills. We will also learn about being effective listeners and giving positive and constructive feedback.

During class students will play fun verbal games, participate in speaking activities and present prepared speaking assignments. The genres of speech that will be covered are dramatized readings, performing memorized pieces of literature, humorous interpretation, original oratory, impromptu speeches, persuasive speeches, dramatizations and expository speeches.
