Speedy Spanish materials can be ordered online by clicking on this link. This course requires students to listen weekly to tapes or CD’s at home. Each student who registers should plan to buy both the book and the accompanying tapes or CD’s. |

| This course will use Speedy Spanish
by Bechtel Books. Students will acquire significant vocabulary and
become familiar with the sounds and structures of Spanish through
listening and speaking activities. Speedy Spanish is patterned after
first language acquisition; we learn to speak and understand our
native language years before we read it, write it, or struggle with
its grammar. This course will build students’ confidence in their
ability to learn a foreign language and will smooth the way for the
more traditional, grammar-based language study that their high
school and college years will require. Teacher Information: Susan has a BA in Spanish from Baylor University and an MA in Foreign Language Education from The University of Texas. She currently home schools her four children and teaches English as a Second Language part-time through MCC. |
