This Introductory Spanish course is designed to teach children in 2nd to 3rd grade conversational Spanish with fast, enjoyable results! The course will focus on building vocabulary and combining words to form correct sentences, applicable to many different settings using a simplistic approach. Through songs, practice exercises, games, literature and other creative approaches, your child will build and expand his knowledge of the Spanish language using a combination of varying curricula. Additionally, you will rejoice at the sound of your child reciting the Word of the Lord and singing Christian songs learned in Spanish. Bring along your passports as we travel on a South American excursion to explore its culture, cuisine, clothing, art, religion, music, and much more! Along the way we will use a "scrapbook" approach to learning, creating a portfolio to help children integrate lessons with activities. We'll end the year with a "fiesta" to celebrate all we have learned! Teacher Information: Patti Thomas is the mother of three children and has home schooled for 3 years. She has a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Southern Methodist University and a master's degree in Education from Baylor University.
